Moreover, the sedatives administered during the procedure may take several hours to wear off, which can severely impair your reaction time and ability to focus. Approximately 24 hours after your surgery, your vision will regain focus, and you\u2019ll begin to experience significant vision improvements. However, this doesn\u2019t quite mean you\u2019re ready to drive. Your first post-operative appointment is typically scheduled within 24 to 48 hours after surgery, and once you\u2019ve received the go-ahead from your doctor, only then should you get behind the wheel.
